Problem: For blind individuals, the moment of taking a photo and the subsequent recollection of it are disconnected. They cannot revisit that moment through the photograph itself. Blind people often rely on artificial intelligence to analyze image content and convert it into text and voice descriptions, which limits their imaginative space. Furthermore, while many existing designs for blind photo reading focus on tactile elements like Braille or embossed surfaces, there are relatively few designs addressing how acquired blindness individuals perceive color.

Design Description: This smart product is designed for parents with acquired blindness, transforms digital images into tangible experiences perceivable through the body. Unlike traditional screen readers that describe photo content verbally, this device uses a dynamic tactile dot matrix, allowing users to physically explore the true contours of faces, objects, and scenes. The touch panel dynamically adjusts its temperature in real-time based on a photo's color Saturation. Photo metadata—such as capture date and location—can be displayed via Braille and voice prompts. Photos are intelligently categorized and organized locally on the device, eliminating the need for cloud uploads. The product magnetically attaches to smartphones, offering lightweight portability and intuitive operation. It replaces abstract verbal descriptions with direct tactile and auditory sensory experiences, transforming silent photographs into tangible, warm emotional memories.

1.Even though many existing designs for blind individuals to perceive photographs focus on tactile elements—such as Braille or embossed textures—there remains a scarcity of designs addressing how parents with acquired blindness  can experience color.

This product employs two core technologies:
